Hand cranked rotary groundnut sheller

Purpose Manually shelling of groundnuts
Capacity It can shell 3-5 bags of unshelled groundnuts depending on skills of the operator.
Target client Small scale farmers and groups
Advantage It shells groundnuts in a contnuous operation rather than by batch method.
The metal bench can be eliminated to reduce the total cost and then the shelling component is mounted on a wooden bench or table.
Disadvantage The shelled groundnuts still need to be separated from the hulls with the use of a sieve.
Cost Complete shelling machine: US$ 125
Market potential / Status Several units have been ordered since it was first exhibited in an agricultural& trade show in 1999.
